Blessed insignia (AL +10 when enchanted)

Fire rune of your choosing on the headpiece
Best Vigor rune you can afford

Any max AL armor with the appropriate rune setup can be used. Exorbitant equipment isn't crucial. Preferably high health armor (Survivor Insignias) although Radiant can be used if you think you need the extra energy.

A Fire Elementalist should be using a Superior Fire Rune to deal the most damage it can, but I'm sure some people would disagree with me. Have a Major and Minor Headpiece to swap for Death Penalty.

As stated before, get the best vigor rune you can buy. Get a fire rune and put it on your headpiece (most headpieces will add +1 to whatever rune you put on them, so fire is a good one) minor energy storage, and survivor/vitae runes. Make sure you max your energy storage and fire attributes in your skill panel. I typically use minor fire for pvp, since I'm usually running ahead of my heroes/henchies and will take a lot of initial damage in any encounter, I want my hp/armor to be as high as possible. That's for pve. Pvp is a totally different animal but I don't think you were asking about that.

I do Pvp with my ele sometimes so advice with the kind of best runes and insigs for both pve and pvp would be nice . I have 13 attribute pts on fire and 10 on energy because i didnt do the 2 +15 attribute pts quests.

This is only true for hero headgear. Headgear for players does not do this. There is a profession specific headgear that provides a +1 bonus for each attribute of the profession.

For PvP, you would want to take a different set of armor (or the same) because most spikes are quick, some or a lot of the damage is armor-ignoring, and having an extra 60 health will be better than having an extra 10 armor. Make sure to also pack along a shield set (+30 on a shield and +30 on a martial weapon) and switch to it if you come under pressure or are being spiked.

For general PvE play however, due to the enchantment-reliance of Elementalists, (and since you're not getting spiked) blessed insignias would be the better choice.

PvP: Survivor, Energy Storage, Vitae, Minor Fire
PvE: Does not matter. Recommend Superior Fire though.

Blessed insignia on all pieces.
One HP +50 rune. Headpiece +3 earth magic (earth is win in PvE, fire is kind of bad, don't play with fire). +10 stackable HP runes on the rest. Maybe +1 energy storage if you feel like it, it doesn't really matter if you get that or 10 HP.

I agree. I do like to use Blessed Insignia a lot of the time because you're more often than not going to be using an Attunement at least, and that's an additional 10 Armour, which is more beneficial versus direct damage. If it's a degen heavy area, I'd definitely consider investing in a second sat of armour with Survivor Insignia.

As far as runes go, use the appropriate minor/major rune on the headpiece. Many people would advise against a superior rune, and there are valid arguments for and against the use of superiors in PvE, but generally, and especially for those new to Elementalists, I'd advise stay away from them until you learn how to play an Elementalist at least. After that, go with +1 Energy Storage, a Vigor rune (whatever you can afford), and then Vitae Runes just to top up your HP that little bit more. If you play with dual elements enough to make it worthwhile you may wish to consider using a minor rune for the secondary element also (an example of this might be a Mind Blast bar with Earth Magic wards).

The main lesson to learn is this: Do not use Radiant Insignias or Attunement Runes. You have Energy Storage so you do not need them.

get an fire rune, minor or major, maybe even superior.
get rune of vigor, pref superior but that one is not cheap.
some vitea runes and blessed insignia's
done

and an friend of my plays with an ele, elemental attument and fire attument.
when the enchantments are not removed, he never gets under 40 energy.
so radient is an waste of money.
